Canesto has been providing software for home and community care since 1984.  We have been exhibitors and significant sponsors at all 18 annual Ontario Community Support Association conferences.  Our customer base now spans Canada from coast to coast, with sites in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and New Brunswick.

Team Development

When new changes are made to an existing application the temptation is to take the path of least resistance and just make the new items work.  At Canesto we don't take that path.  By the time we are finished with a new enhancement, or a client-specific customization, it will seem as though the function was always part of the system (and was not "bolted on" at a later date in time).  We invest significantly in best-practices for software development and the results are apparent in the outstanding stability of the CIMS-HR application.  Our development practices, and the use of industry-leading databases like Pervasive.SQL and Microsoft SQL Server mean that once the application is installed and running we virtually never receive support requests due to program errors or crashes.

We Care About Our Clients And Understand Their Environment

It's not a secret that the community support sector has been asked to do more and more with modest (or sometimes no) increase in funding.  Our annual support and update fee has not increased since it was first introduced over 12 years ago.  Word-of-mouth referrals have allowed the company to grow the number of sites every year, and the stability of the product has allowed that growth to occur without an exponential increase in support costs.  We do not make changes that will trigger expensive training to implement, or cause hardware refreshes that would otherwise be un-necessary.

We understand the financial constraints that our customers face and conscientiously strive to provide the best possible return for their investment.
